As times are changing, so are we—bringing together hands-on workshops across multiple agricultural experiences to connect people, cattle, and pastures. The National Show won’t change but now you can participate and compete in multiple arenas, for a fraction of the price. So come compete if you wish or just come and have fun. All are welcome!

Registration

To register, start by following the link to the Registration Form provided below. Here, we will collect your basic information. Upon completion, you will be automatically redirected to our official Registration Store to purchase registration entries, contest entries, ads, and additional products. Simply add each of your desired items to the cart and proceed to checkout by clicking the cart button at the top. If you need to include additional items at a later date, you may return directly to the Registration Store using the secondary link below. Please note that the number of registrations are limited and that registrations are due by August 1st!

The National Devon Pen Show

Take part in a judging clinic and celebrate with fellow Devon enthusiasts as the 2026 Grand Champion Devon Bull & Female are crowned. Devon cattle from across the country will be on display and many for sale, offering a premier opportunity to acquire elite genetics for your own herd. This event serves as a cornerstone for breeders to evaluate breed standards firsthand while fostering the community spirit that defines the Red Devon tradition. Attendees can engage with expert evaluators to sharpen their technical skills and discuss the functional traits that make these cattle a leader in grass-based production.

Red Devon Photo contest

The Red Devon USA Photo Contest offers a vibrant platform for breeders and enthusiasts to showcase the beauty and functional excellence of the Devon breed. This competition invites participants to capture the unique characteristics of the Devon breed, from striking portraits of cattle in their natural environment to scenes highlighting their docile temperament and adaptability on pasture. By celebrating the breed through a lens, the contest not only highlights the artistic talents of the Red Devon community but also helps document the diverse landscapes where these cattle thrive across the country.

Premier Pasture Competition

The Red Devon USA Pasture Quality Contest highlights the essential connection between superior forage and the performance of the Devon breed. This competition challenges producers to demonstrate their expertise in regenerative land management, focusing on metrics such as plant diversity, soil health, and forage density. By evaluating the environments where "The Butcher's Breed" thrives, the contest celebrates the commitment of breeders to sustainable grazing practices that ensure both animal welfare and long-term ecological vitality.

Send in a sample of your premier pasture forages for a chance to be named champion. Samples will be sent off for analysis and on display at the event for hands on evaluation from participants.

The Butchers Breed Steak Contest

For centuries Devon cattle, The Butchers Breed, has been known as the breed for producing gourmet quality. beef on pasture. PBS’s, “Son of a Butcher”, AJ O’Neil and Chef Pete Stine will judge whose is the best of the best. Check out the Devon Corner 2.1 to hear all about this competition!

The Annual Meeting

The Red Devon USA Annual Meeting serves as the official business hub of the gathering, where members convene to shape the future of the breed and the association. This session focuses on transparency and progress, featuring reports from Red Devon USA staff, updates on breed registry initiatives, and the state of the Devon breed. It provides a formal platform for breeders to discuss industry trends and strategic goals for promoting healthy genetics. Beyond the official agenda, the meeting fosters vital community networking, allowing producers from across the country to exchange insights on sustainable ranching and herd management.

Pasture Health Workshop

Get your hands dirty as we learn and evaluate soils, forages, and soil biology together with field experts. Discover tricks of the trade for evaluating soils and forages without fancy testing equipment and costly lab work.

Awards Banquet

The event will culminate in a memorable finale featuring grass fed devon beef, celebrating the flavor and tradition behind the cattle. We will also present awards, announce winners of the silent auction, and recognize a breeder for life time achievement with the presentation of the Stewart Fowler award.
